Baku, the capital and commercial hub of Azerbaijan, is a low-lying city with coastline along the Caspian Sea. It's famed for its medieval walled old city, which contains the Palace of the Shirvanshahs, a vast royal complex, and the iconic stone Maiden Tower. Contemporary landmarks include the Zaha Hadid–designed Heydar Aliyev Center, and the Flame Towers, 3 pointed skyscrapers covered with LED screens.

The Shahdag mountain resort near Qusar was the first winter sports resort in Azerbaijan. The Shahdag Mountain Resort Complex was open to the public in 2012. It is located in the Azerbaijan's Greater Caucasus range, the site is located near Shahdag National Park, which is known for having an intact ecological system and an untouched flora and fauna.
Visitors will be able to choose from a variety of accommodation distributed throughout the complex ranging from luxury hotels, individual chalets and cottages through to camping (in the summer).
During the winter season there will be 19 ski slopes available for skiers of all levels. A professional ski school and a ski hire shop will offer a wide range of ski equipment and advice to cater for guests every need.
A brand new ski station equipped with the very latest snow machine technology will ensure that perfect snow conditions will be provided throughout the season.

Since the last decade Baku has started flourishing not only with skyscrapers, but at the same time with huge and luxurious shopping malls across the city. There are numerous brands functioning in Baku and most of them are populated in the city center and inside the shopping malls. It’s a time wise choice to visit a shopping mall if you need to do several things at the same time like buying new clothes, watching the latest movies in a cinema, eating or spending some entertaining time with your kids.

The tour to natural, historical and architectural monuments on Absheron Peninsula. Absheron Peninsula has special importance in terms of historical monuments. Absheron Peninsula, the ancient settlement, has the history dating before century.
• Gala Archaeological and Ethnographic Museum Complex is situated in the historical part of Gala village. There are 216 monuments in the territory of the village. You will see petroglyphs (stone carvings) dating back to the third and second millennia B.C and the Middle Ages, household ceramics and archaeological artifacts discovered in the Absheron Peninsula. Merchant’s house is a magnificent example of medieval dwelling houses existing in the village. Furthermore, tombstones, kurgans, various tools, such as "khana" (tool for carpet weaving) are demonstrated in the museum.
• Enjoy the view of Yanardag - the infamous burning mountain. In ancient times natural eternal flames were burning in many places of Absheron. Yanardag was declared State Historical-Cultural and Natural Reserve in order to protect natural monument.
• Ateshgah often called the "Fire Temple of Baku" is a castle-like religious temple in Surakhani town a suburb in Baku, Azerbaijan. Based on Persian and Indian inscriptions, the temple was used as a Hindu, Sikh, and Zoroastrian place of worship. "Atash" is the Persian word for fire. The pentagonal complex, which has a courtyard surrounded by cells for monks and a tetrapillar-altar in the middle, was built during the 17th and 18th centuries.
• The Heydar Aliyev Center is a 57,500 m² building complex in Baku, Azerbaijan designed by Iraqi-British architect Zaha Hadid and noted for its distinctive architecture and flowing, curved style that eschews sharp angles.
